Gelli cites the Dresden and Leipzig Arnoldische Buchhandlung witnesses of 1821, 1822 and 1823 under Carl Edouard Ponitz, describing the work as based on the principles of von Schmnitz/Selmnitz. The local 1828 base year therefore remains open to later reconciliation, but the title identity is secure.
Vigeant 1882 gives a Dresden and Leipzig 1828 witness for Carl Edouard Ponitz, based on the principles of von Selmnitz and other masters, which strengthens the public normalization of this title family.
