Gelli cites a Paris 1583 witness for this rare little volume of ten leaves, whereas the earlier local shell came from a Thimm-based 1588 line. Pending a stronger direct witness, the catalogue keeps the present work unified and preserves Gelli's earlier date only as a conflicting secondary reading.
Vigeant 1882 confirms the 1588 Paris witness of the Saint-Polycarpe sonnets against fencers and duelists, describing it as a small quarto of ten leaves ruled on fleur-de-lis vellum.
