British author of `The Only Approved Guide through All the Stages of a Quarrel`, a nineteenth-century handbook on duelling practice, honour culture, and the management of quarrels. He belongs to the later printed phase of duel literature, when codification, etiquette, and retrospective commentary increasingly replaced the technical sword treatise proper.
Do not confuse this figure with the American physician Joseph Hamilton represented in the Founders archive. The local martial author identity is stable at the book level but still lacks strong personal biographical evidence.
