The exact 1539 publication-style date was removed; attribution remains with Francesco di Sandro Altoni following the specialist and corpus records, while variant modern identifications are noted in scholarship.
Quality phase 390: a recent doctoral study reports that the editors now regard the name Francesco di Sandro in the Florence witness as erroneous and tentatively attribute its late-century revision to Giovanni Altoni, working from Francesco di Lorenzo Altoni’s text and another lost witness.
