Castle places the Palladini manuscript around 1590 and mentions forty-two red-chalk drawings, adding a third dating witness to the already-conflicted record.
Vigeant 1882 dates the unpublished Palladini manuscript around 1570, again describing its 42 original red-chalk drawings. He regrets that it was never printed and says that, although the author follows Agrippa, he merits to stand beside Grassi, Capoferro, and Giganti.
