Treatise by Giovan Battista Gajani printed at Loano in 1619 and dedicated to Vittorio Amedeo and Francesco Tommaso of Savoy. Gelli also reports, from an old Casanatense catalogue, an untraced notice that may point to a 1664 edition under the GALANI/GALIANI form.
Castle also records the Loano 1619 Gajani witness.
Vigeant 1882 preserves the Loano 1619 Castello imprint for Gaiani, the dedication to Vittorio Amadeo and Francesco Tomaso of Savoy, and notes the interesting preliminary studies on the fencing master in the opening chapters.
Final Vigeant duplicate sweep on 2026-08-11 folded the weaker shell Arte di maneggiar la spada a piedi et a cavallo (work 1107) into this canonical Gaiani record.
The appended Galaxy/J. Hawthorne citation in Thimm entry 852 was separated into work 3732.
