Consolidated from former works #2253–#2256. Thimm’s consecutive “Ditto” entries establish one edition family: 1817, 1819, revised editions of 1842 and 1845, and official Horse Guards revisions of 1862 and 1875. Henry Angelo is retained as author of the work-base; later official revisions are documented at edition level.

Quality phase 275b: the 1875 Revised Infantry Sword Exercise was consolidated into this official manual family. Edition 2268 is the exact March 1875 HMSO/Eyre & Spottiswoode manifestation; the weaker duplicate edition 2265 and work 2259 were removed.

Quality phase 277: generic duplicate work 3743 and edition 3885 consolidated into canonical Infantry Sword Exercise work 2252 and exact 1819 edition 2262. The identical McGill facsimile URL, title, date, London imprint and 63-page collation prove identity; all prior evidence was transferred.
