Violently polemical response to Danet's traité, written by Texier de la Boëssière on behalf of the Paris fencing masters. Gelli preserves the bibliographic identity of the 1766 work and supplements it with a substantial biographical note on La Boëssière père and Saint-Georges.
Castle also records the Paris 1766 La Boëssière observations.
Vigeant 1882 states that this 1766 pamphlet was made with a view to the violent refutation of Danet by La Boëssière père, and notes that Danet's second volume comments on the main points of the attack.
