French fencing master and specialist in foil, fully named Simon Nicolas Alphonse Kirchhoffer. A pupil of his father and Arsène Vigeant, he won major international competitions, received an Olympic silver medal in 1900 and authored the 1911 Larousse manual L’escrime: fleuret.
