ARMORUM ARCHIVE
French fencing master from Lorraine, born Abraham Racinot, who after study in Italy became fencing master to the ducal court of Lorraine and later a nobleman and state official. His `Discours de la theorie de la pratique et de l'excellence des armes` is an important early seventeenth-century French treatise and also a notable example of Italian fencing theory being adapted into French court culture.
