Girolamo Lucino

Sixteenth-century Italian fencing master whose `Dialogo del uso della spada` belongs to the post-Agrippa rapier tradition. His treatise presents itself as a clarification and extension of Agrippa’s system while also criticizing perceived weaknesses in Giacomo di Grassi’s work, making Lucino an important witness to internal debate within late Renaissance Italian fencing.
